The Deerfield Ranch, 2004 Sangiovese, was just voted by the fair goers at the prestigious Winefest in Calgary, Canada, the Best red wine of the show. This was by the vote of thousands.
Their Sangiovese, over five vintages, continues to be the most decorated wine they have ever entered in competition. Totaling more than 20 medals.
This wine is truly singing right now, at its peak, perfectly delicious. It’s forward fruit flavors cascade over the top of the tongue in cresting waves, there’s an explosion in the center of the palate and a lingering finish that is perfect. There’s only about 190 cases left from what I hear, so you better hurry and get yours.
